You guys could have shown way more from the start, you are using commissioned art and are lying to an artist to get your scammy act going. You guys are all linked to MDE and there is clear proof right as rain you guys were planning to commit a scam oriented towards bronies. If you guys needed the support you should have done that from the start and should have been completely transparent with the funds. You don’t need funds for a 95% completed game.. Not even for publishing, sales will cover that for you. Either way I can’t say I see the point in an MLP dating sim without MLP characters.

With the game over 95% done at this point, you can’t claim that it hasn’t been programmed in yet. Last week we posted an announcement for a new game on Kickstarter called Dark Skyes, a dating sim that takes place in the world of My Little Pony . Referred to as a “Brony dating sim,” the game would let adult fans of the magical pony world date, seduce, and do who knows what else with a wide variety of beautifully drawn ponies. In the time since our announcement a number of serious allegations have been thrown at the makers of Dark Skyes, with various elements of the web calling the whole thing a joke or a scam. The 4Chan /mlp/ group in particular has been in overdrive gathering information and pointing fingers. That seems to be the case with a “brony dating sim with deep RPG elements, 100+ gameplay hours, and gorgeous artwork” that is currently listed on Kickstarter.

He’s either really desperate for that Brony money, or completely delusional, or both. This and similar photos have been used by internet trolls when reporting Hyde as the perpetrator of mass shootings and terrorist attacks. In 2022, iDubbbz uploaded a documentary on Hyde trying to understand and communicate with him beyond the irony and acts Hyde puts on.

Is the horrible looking MLP dating sim “Dark Skyes” a scam?

For pony, lets say your given a pony to race rainbow dash; you cannot do this unless your a Pegasus. Accolades is a far stretch out there for any one dating sim, but maybe select free ponies can unlock different items or ponies. That’s right, they can take down videos for copyright, but people can’t take down the kickstarter for being a scam.

A $7,500 funding goal isn’t something to be suspicious over, there’s plenty of projects that only ask for a few hundred dollars. However when you consider that the Dark Skyes developers are promising over 100 hours of gameplay, for a dating sim, it seems a little suspicious. The game was funded via Kickstarter, where it raised $272,000 and surpassed its goal. One of its characters, Rowan, was designed by the artist of Hatoful Boyfriend.

Another person, Chris Conlon, tweeted that his picture was being used without permission. The next day the Kickstarter page was updated by removing Chris’s name and picture and adding in a person with the name “Virgo Hiroshima” instead. https://matchreview.org/ As of this writing the developers list has been changed to only include 3 people, Psychoactive Charm , Michael Harms , and the aforementioned Virgo Hiroshima . The 3/30 update doesn’t really change the final verdict unfortunately.
